Styles of Yoga

I am trained in Vinyasa Flow, but my classes are a fusion of Iyengar, Hatha and Kundalini Yoga. You will experience classes which are creative and fun -  very dynamic , but at the same time relaxing.

Vinyasa Flow is a style in which movements are synchronized with the breath. Because of the smooth way that the poses run together it becomes like a dance.

Iyengar is a form of Hatha yoga that focuses on the physical alignment of the body in the poses. If your body is not yet open enough, you will be encouraged in the use of props to help you attain ideal alignment. Hatha Yoga is most often described as gentle and basic with no flow between poses. Therefore it’s a good way to learn beginners’ poses, relaxation techniques, and to become comfortable with yoga. The idea of Kundalini yoga is to draw untapped energy ( prana ) at the base of the spine up through the body, using a series of asanas, awakening each of the seven chakras. Full enlightenment occurs when this energy reaches the crown chakra at top of the head.
